IH029 - Where Have All The Grownups Gone?

There are many differences between a child and an adult. Many people argue that the immaturity of children includes matters of intellect and emotion. Children are developing yet have a limited capacity in certain grown-up essential areas. They lack critical thinking skills and struggle with understanding concepts of things such as having a moral compass. Their focus is on getting other kids to like them, and they are not interested in doing their homework and understanding the deeper meaning of things. They want it their way and are not willing to make sacrifices.

But, is this describing children or our government and ourselves?

Today I pose the question: “Where have all the grownups gone?” and discuss our immaturity of action, inaction, and thought. I explore how technology has created 24/7 connectivity and information and how this has eliminated any time to think, ponder, and prepare. I share why we need to broaden our beliefs and examine every aspect of how a child becomes an adult. I also explore the divide and misunderstanding seen in the United States today and why we need to reset our expectations and contribute to the collective good.
