IH060 - Underneath Influence with Jon Levy
Jon Levy is a behavioral scientist, influencer, adventurer, and author of The 2 AM Principle: Discover the Science of Adventure and You're Invited: The Art and Science of Cultivating Influence. Jon works with a multitude of clients—from startups to Fortune 500 brands—who want to transform their approach to consumer engagement, sales, culture, and marketing. Jon is the Founder of The Influencers Dinner, which has developed into the world's largest community of influencers and industry leaders. He has a Bachelor of Science from New York University and an International Baccalaureate from The Dwight School.
Jon joins me today to explore what is underneath his influence. He shares why human beings are wired for trust, connection, and community and how they are at the core of meaningful relationships. Jon reveals why people do not like business networking and its correlation to feeling dirty. He explores the ‘IKEA effect’ and how we care more about the things we put effort into. He reveals how vulnerability loops work and how to get better results and buy-ins by stacking them from small to large. Jon also describes methods for changing your habits and the human associations that need to be made and broken.
“Anything that really matters to us—the ability to connect, the ability to be trusted, and the necessity of belonging—are at the core of all of it.” - Jon Levy
