IH035 - The Essential Context of Time

Our actions are fueled by the belief that we can always do it or deal with it tomorrow, yet this just isn't fundamentally true. The fact is, there may not be a tomorrow, which suggests that we should act differently today. All too often, it takes the loss of an elderly or sick relative for us to recognize that our time is finite.

Today I share the essential context of time and how our lives are being defined by it. I explore why we often ignore the fact that our lives are finite and how we might live our lives if we looked at it from a ‘life is finite’ perspective. I discuss the top five regrets of the dying and why we should live a life that is true to ourselves and not dictated by others' expectations. I also share how, for many of us, we need the loss of another to appreciate living and why we should all look to invest our time better.

“It is not about how much time we have, it's about how we choose to invest it.” - Chris Colbert
