Technology has insinuated itself into every nook and cranny of modern society, ignoring many of our human truths while preying on our vulnerabilities. It has resulted in both profound economic progress and a multitude of troubling unintended consequences, from deepening divides and loss of collective responsibility to a growing list of existential threats.

The only viable response is to reconnect with our collaborative roots and undertake what I am calling a humanist revolution, a bottom up global effort to redefine human progress, rebuild our core systems to contribute to that progress, and reset our all too human behaviors and aspirations, while becoming the active, careful human-first stewards of technology itself.

If any of this resonates with you I encourage you to listen to some of my talks, read my books, or just give me a call and we can chat. A problem that seems insurmountable is surmountable, it just needs a few of us to step forward. I hope you will join me.

I have spent much of my career focused on how to create high-performing organizations as defined by superior operating results, sustainable competitive advantage and adaptive, hyper-innovative, and collaborative cultures. During my time as the Managing Director of the Harvard Innovation Labs I met Ash Carter. His talk at the “I Lab” made me realize that we had the whole thing wrong. That our abiity to create a better world was less about technology and invention and more about increasing human understanding, of ourselves and each other. That realization prompted my book Technology is Dead and much of the work I do today.

MY NEW BOOK:

Technology IS Dead

- THE Path to a More human Future

My latest book on why we are where we are, and what we can each do about it. If you want to help fix what ails the world, I ask that you consider reading my work. Click the image to purchase.

Chris leads with the truth, and the truth is essential to any transformation. During an incredibly difficult time in our industry he was able to motivate my leadership team to embrace change, to redefine what successful digital transformation requires and give them the tools to make it happen.
